PALMER — Multiple units, including an armored vehicle, were on scene as authorities served an arrest warrant and search warrant at a residence on South Bailey Street in Palmer just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Richard C. Green, 45, of Palmer, was arrested without incident, according to the Alaska State Troopers. The arrest warrant included charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and four counts of second-degree theft.

Troopers, Palmer Police, the Criminal Suppression Unit, the South Central Special Emergency Reaction Team and State Drug Enforcement Unit were all on scene. During the search, authorities found 25 guns, some of which are confirmed stolen, found to have removed serial numbers or were illegally modified in violation of federal law, according to troopers.

Green was on release from a separate charge of third-degree assault, and is also now facing a charge of violating the conditions of his release. According to troopers, the investigation continues and additional charges are expected.

As of Tuesday night, Green was in custody at Mat-Su Pretrial and bail has been set at $50,000.
