WILLOW — Eight different thefts were reported over a seven-day span in the Willow area.
Beginning on Sept. 30, thieves hit various properties in Caswell and Willow neighborhoods and stole a variety of items.
On Sept. 30, Alaska State Troopers reported responding to someone who had stolen fuel from planes, items from inside the cockpits, and a Dodge truck at the Willow Airport.
Troopers determined that the 1998 Dakota had been used in a separate burglary four days later on Oct. 3 and was recovered on Oct. 7. Other items stolen were ATV’s, fuel, and security cameras, as well as an attempt to steal a motorhome. The thefts span from Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. to Oct. 6 at 12:15 p.m. Thieves hit Eaglet Circle, Bald Eagle Way, Brokealine Drive, Dolly Varden Drive twice, Denali View and the airport.
It is unclear at this time if any of the thefts are connected other than the truck stolen from the airport.
