Palmer resident Muriel Ann Hill died at her home surrounded by family on Dec. 25, 2004.
A memorial service was held Thursday at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene in Wasilla, with Pastor Lawrence Golden officiating.
Mrs. Hill was born Nov. 2, 1938, in Puyallup, Wash. She attended high school in Sumner, Wash., and college at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle. She lived for 30 years in Richland, Wash., before moving to Alaska in 1999, where she resided in the Palmer area.
Her primary occupation had been as a homemaker, who enjoyed Brazilian embroidery, sewing, flower arranging and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene.
Her family wrote, "She lived with a joyful spirit, trusting in Jesus through everything."
Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband, Ron Hill; children, Rene Dillow, Steve Hill, Denise Pearl and Ken Hill; brothers, Stan, Duane and Bob Magee and grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby, Mikaela, April, Colten and Ben.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gospel for Asia, 1800 Golden Trail Ct., Carrollton, TX 75010-9907. Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory of Wasilla.
