MONTANA CREEK — The Montana Creek Dog Mushers Association hosted its first event of the season last Saturday.

Despite warm temperatures and soft trail, the association hosted events in five classes.

Christian Taveau won the eight-dog class, using a time of 31 minutes and 14 seconds to beat runner-up Egil Ellis by just more than a minute. Kim Wells finished first in the six-dog and third in the skijor.

MCDMA will host another series of races Saturday at 10:30 a.m. See mcdma.org for more.
