Rev. Howard Bess tries to paint Muslims and the religion of Islam with a broad brush in his June 10 Faith page column in the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. The Islam he described does not exist. If it does, the author failed to note where this might be. Instead, he tries to paint the rest of us as intolerant xenophobes.
The countries under Islam are Dar al-Islam, the lands of Islam. The United States, still being a secular, largely Christian nation not under Islam, is Dar al-Harb, or the “abode of war,” meaning an unconquered land. Some people don’t understand that Islam is at war with all who are not Muslim, and not in a spiritual sense.
Islam means submission, and to make the infidel submit is taken literally by the Muslim. To conquer the West, the strategy of Islam is immigration, legal and illegal, and the subversion of the host country’s political and judicial process. Implementation of Shariah and the insinuation of prejudice against Islam are the first steps of infiltrating the culture and due process of the target country. Anyone who criticizes Islam is an Islamaphobe.
The writer ignores the price of apostasy under Islam. Apostates commit blasphemy or kufr and are sentenced to death under Islam. One does not leave Islam. This is not stated specifically in the Quran, but in the Hadith, which is a collection of sayings and traditions attributed to Mohammed.
He tries to compare the Bible’s Old Testament with the violence and outright oppression and conquest demanded by the Quran. The difference is, neither Christianity nor Judaism practice the old law. Muslims today still take the Quran literally and make that violence and oppression common practice.
In Islamic mosque services, the Quran can only be taught in Arabic. Any translation is considered to be incapable of accurately reflecting the words of the Quran.
Islam has never coexisted, even here in the U.S. There have been attempts at terrorism in the U.S. before and since Sept. 11, 2001. There have even been honor killings of young women in the U.S., which is permitted under Shariah.
Islam, aside from Hinduism, is the most intolerant religion on the face of the earth. In Saudi Arabia and many other Islamic countries, the wearing of any other religions symbols is prohibited. Proselytizing Christianity in an Islamic country can bring prison or even death.
Mosques being built in the U.S. are not being built with money raised by the local, practicing Muslim community. Saudi Arabia puts out a minimum of $50 million a year for mosque construction in the U.S. The Imams, mostly Wahhabist, are generally supplied by the Saudis as well.
The Saudis send us their radicals to keep their house in order. It was recently noted in a study by the Middle East Quarterly that out of 100 mosques surveyed in the United States, 80 percent had texts on-site rated as severely advocating violence.
These mosques are here, not in Pakistan. Yet we tolerate this because of the First Amendment.
A mosque is under construction in Anchorage.
Is Islam compatible with our Constitution? Absolutely not. Islam cannot tolerate our Constitutional guarantees any more than it tolerates a competing religion. Muslims cannot swear an oath of fealty to a secular state. Such is against the tenets of Islam, which demand total subservience to the will of Allah. Lying to secular authorities is allowed to achieve the ends of Islam, which is total domination of the targeted culture.
What people have a hard time understanding is that Islam is not just a religion. It is the political party, cult of the leader, Miss Manners and government all wrapped up in a green flag featuring swords in its design.
What will it take for people to understand that Muslim people are not here to co-exist; they are here to conquer?
Thank you, George H. and George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barrack Hussein Obama. You all put this cancer into our midst to keep Middle East oil flowing when a realistic domestic energy policy would have avoided the need to placate the Saudi monarchy.
Islam is not here to integrate. It is here to conquer.
Our leaders have betrayed us for oil.
By the pandering of our political parties, the foolishness of those who believe that Islam is just another religion, and the failure to adopt a domestic energy policy that would end foreign oil and gas imports, we have set the course for an eventual second civil war.
