EAGLE RIVER — The Chugiak Mustangs survived a late Eagle River push to earn a 57-51 boys’ basketball win over the rival Wolves Feb. 3 at Eagle River High School.
Eagle River’s Ryan Adkins buried four three-pointers during his team’s 30-point second half, but the Mustangs were able to hold on. Tyler Trevino led Chugiak with 15 points during the win. Josh Wilson added 11. Adkins led the Wolves with 18.
Earlier in the evening, Chugiak scored a 70-30 victory over Eagle River. Chasity Horn supplied a game-best 21. Nicole Pinckney added 19. Chyna Finley led Eagle River with seven.
