Mat-Su Youth Housing — also known as MY House — has been offered a $25,000 matching gift to continue our vital, daily services for homeless youth ages 14 to 25 in the Mat-Su Borough.
MY House has opened the Gathering Place to offer a wide range of services from immediate basic needs of food, clothing, showers and laundry to educational and employment. We are a hand up, not a hand out. Youth have workforce opportunities in our coffee shop, the Gathering Grounds, and a car detailing business, Car Deets, in house.
Currently, there is no youth emergency shelter in the Valley. With this matching gift, it will enable us to keep the doors open to collect valuable data for future grants but, more importantly, to continue to make a daily difference for our homeless youth.
Please consider making a generous contribution, have your car detailed and while waiting, buy a cup of coffee, have lunch or a wonderful pastry. Visit our website at myhousematsu.org or call 373-4357. Thank you for your gracious support.
