To the editor:
My name is Jennifer Ivory. For approximately ten years, I was president of the Buffalo Mine Soapstone Community Council. I am a proud homeowner up on Buffalo Mine road and was proud to lead a strong and active community council which provided our neighborhoods a voice in the Borough. That is until Brian Endle took over the council as president. For those who don’t know, Brian Endle is now running for Borough Assembly and likes to brag about his “leadership” as president of the council. But, the facts tell another story. Brian served as president for one year, but by the end of his only term the council never met again. In one year, Brian pushed for rule changes raising the threshold necessary to do any business in order to push his own personal agenda. As a result, our community has lost its voice and remain without a active community council to this day. This is what Brian Endle did with one year as president of our community council, we cannot risk what he would do in three years on the Assembly. Right now, we have two choices for Assembly and Tim Hale and Brian Endle. Tim is the right choice. He has been effective on his own community council in Butte where he serves on the board, has worked to bring our community together and promote community engagement, and is running because he truly cares about our community and every resident in it. I encourage you to join me in voting Tim Hale on (or before) November 5th and ensure we have effective leadership on the Assembly.
Jennifer Ivory,
Former President of the Buffalo Mine Soap Stone Community Council And District 1 voter.
