MYFA Colony Knights third- and fourth-grade football team wins state championship

The MYFA Colony Knights third- and fourth-grade football team finished a perfect 11-0 season by winning the state championship for their division. The title was won Oct. 12 in a 20-0 decision over the Anchorage Boys and Girls Club Romig Mears Panthers. The Knights are coached by head coach Carl Gamble and assistants Duane Evans and Eric Pomrenke. The team includes, in no particular order, Eric Christy (4), Benjamin Laggis (5), Kaiden Jiminez (8), Levi Hopkins (9), Trace Severson (10), Zane Vrvilo (12), Lane Booth (15), Coa Gamble (22), Emily Jakiemiec (25), Shawn McMillian (27), Nathaniel Good (31), Julian McPhail (35), Edward Ruiz (40), Logan Dean (55), Gunner Atkin (58), Christopher Hardy (62), Gunner Kilberg (65), James Lamont (79), Brandon Evans (88), Gabriel Mucha (90), Hunter Sasser (97) and Vincent Cramer (99).
