Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Nadezda Bridgett Janulek, 50, died Oct. 5, 2005, following a lengthy battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Big Lake.
Ms. Janulek was born in Prague, Czechoslavakia (now Czech Republic), where her mother still resides. She and her children have lived in Alaska since 1972, with most of that time spent in the Big Lake area.
She leaves behind her mother, Bozena Nor of Prague; son, Danny, and granddaughter, Kaylee, of Wasilla, and son, Milan, and granddaughter, Willow Marie, of Willow.
In addition to her family, she leaves many friends who will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Karl Nor, of Big Lake.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
