Mr. Jacob Allen Hanson and Ms. Brittany Rochelle Sisson are pleased to announce that they will be married on Jan. 15 at King’s Chapel of Wasilla at the corner of Spruce and Lucille streets.
Jacob and Brittany began dating in high school in September 2006 while they both were attending Palmer High School and they have been dating ever since. Jacob graduated in 2009 and Brittany graduated in 2008 from Valley Pathways High School. Jacob proposed to Brittany on New Year’s Day.
Jacob is currently attending college at AVTEC in Seward for Microsoft certification and then will attend UAA for his bachelors in computer science. Brittany is in the process of getting her bachelors degree in elementary education. She joined the Alaska National Guard to help pay for her education and to proudly serve her country. She will leave for boot camp in South Carolina on Feb. 16 and then to Georgia to do her AIT training.
Anyone who wants to attend the wedding ceremony is welcome to see this wonderful couple joined in matrimony.
Palmer student gets scholarship
The Office of Enrollment Services at Valley City State University in North Dakota has awarded a scholarship to Michaels Daniels, son of Mike and Andrea Daniels of Palmer. The Palmer High School student earned a VCSU V-500 Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Valley City State University scholarships are made available as a result of the support of alumni and friends of the university. Students are selected to receive these scholarships on the basis of their high school GPA, ACT/SAT score and their high school class rank.
