National Recovery Month

Every September, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration

( SAMHSA) sponsors Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate those who recover to live healthy and rewarding lives.

Thank you for adding your voice to Recovery Month by describing the dramatic event that lead to your recovery.

“I ran out of choices other than going to the bitter end. Yet, God had another plan. After having a spiritual awakening, I am in recovery.

My name is Paul, coming up on 32 years of sobriety. ”
