To the editor:
After 50 years of experiencing the vicissitudes of human life and being thoroughly disillusioned by religious explanations, I slowly came to believe that in the beginning, the frustration of an ever-present need for change gave birth to the basic ingredients of an elementary form of primordial logic that led to “Creation.”
Later, in attempting to explain the birth of the need for change, I reasoned that “being” in “nothingness” was a paradox that generated the emotional force of frustration, which was all-powerful because in “nothingness” there is no resistance to anything whatsoever.
Over eons of time, the intelligent principles of primordial logic were incorporated into this need for change, which eventually came to realize that frustration is a form of energy that has the potential to give meaning to the emptiness of space. Through trial and error, the principles of intelligence developed the laws of physics — a self-sustaining system of interactions. Later, the laws of physics became activated by the energy of frustration when intelligence and emotion joined forces.
A synergy between intelligence and emotion provided the extra energy needed for the Big Bang and the establishment of matter and life. The darkness of empty space was abolished when the need for change brought about the union of intelligence and emotion, which enabled primordial logic to outwardly express continual change through the laws of physics and the evolution of life.
More simply put, the intelligent aspects of a primordial form of logic were awakened by dissatisfaction with nothingness that brought about an emotional need for change. This need brought about a union between intelligent principles and emotional energy, which caused a big bang and the establishment of matter and life.
The physical universe is an outward expression of primordial logic’s intelligent laws of physics, and the realm of life is an outward expression of emotional feelings. Both matter and life are affected by the process of evolution; which only exists to satisfy the ever-present need for change. Through the use of primordial logic’s intelligent principles and emotional energy, the process of evolution has produced ever-higher forms of life, including man’s self-conscious quest for scientific knowledge and emotional understanding.
Due to the ups and downs of life, each human generation is blessed by scientific achievements and individual people are blessed by the expansion of their emotional understanding. It seems the human race is engaged in an upward spiral of progress toward a better future — thanks to our ongoing efforts to acquire intellectual knowledge and emotional experience, which are the substance of being.
