Neighbors come through in very trying times

We have a wonderful couple living near us, Mike and Nancy McNamara. Mike and Nancy moved across the street around eight years ago. We got to know them right away and found them to be very caring and friendly.

Mike and Nancy have always been available to help us in some way or another. Many afternoons after a large snowfall, I would look out my window and see Mike plowing our driveway. He just did this without being asked. He saw a need and he helped out.

Nancy kept in close contact with us when our son, Logan, was in the hospital. We knew we could depend on their family to watch over our house and animals.

They have both been supportive in our fund-raising endeavors for cancer charities. They have always been willing to help.

They brought Christmas presents down for Casey and Meghan the first Christmas after Logan died.

This kind gesture helped us get through a very difficult holiday.

Without neighbors like Mike and Nancy, we would not enjoy living where we do as much.

We know we can count on them at all times, and we feel good knowing we have such caring people living by us.
