To the editor:
While at the Matanuska River on the Old Glenn Highway, July 20 with my dog for an exercise walk, a pit bull came up from behind us and attacked my dog pinning him to the ground in a pool of blood. We took him immediately to the Far Country Animal Hospital at 10 p.m., where he was sedated and x-rays taken. My family and I stayed for hours waiting for results, but left when he was to be kept overnight on three pain medications.
I want to thank the staff for saving my 14-year-old dog’s life and also the gal at the river who came to assist me.
Many thanks
