Salon collects donations for Soldiers Angels

Businesses organize local food drives

• Kristan Cole Team has organized a food drive to help fill the shelves at Mat-Su Valley food pantries. Help the team help others by donating non-perishable food at the office at 5131 E. Mayflower Lane, Wasilla. For more information, contact 373-3575.

• Mat-Su Sylvan Learning Center, 1261 Seward Meridian Road, Suite L, Wasilla is collecting canned and non-perishable food items for local food banks. Hospice seeks volunteers

Mat-Su Regional Hospice is in need of volunteers to work with terminally ill patients and their families. There are not enough volunteers in the program to meet an increasing and desperate need in the community. Volunteers can help families by enrolling in a special training scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 10 to 12. Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Ginny Stocker at 352-4848.
