Ninilchik Beaches closed to clamming

The Ninilchik Beaches are now closed to the harvest of razor clams, according to a press release issued by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. The emergency order issued the closure begin March 12 and run through Dec. 31.

The order closes the harvesting of clams from the north bank of Deep Creek approximately 3.2 miles north to the Ninilchik River.

Bag limits for the razor clams were also changed. The limit is now 25 razor clams harvested from the remaining open areas.
