PALMER — The State Medical Examiner's Office has taken possession of a body found near Moose Creek around 4:30 p.m., Oct. 11.
Troopers say a person walking their dog in the area reported finding the human remains Friday.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death, troopers say. However, based on a tentative identification. next of kin has been notified.
Troopers say they believe the deceased is a man whose vehicle was found in mid-August parked at Moose Creek and who was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant.
