No law for those who enforce it

To the editor:

Interesting case of possible Alaska State Troopers misconduct in making a statement of fact that defies belief in getting a search warrant. The question of whether or not anything will actually come of it is beyond laughable. Nothing is ever done, at least publicly, to those the wear the badge.

As to actual lying to the public, can anyone remember the trooper who made the statement on local television that if we would give the troopers the law that let them check for seat belts that they would never use it as probable cause to stop you?
