Members of the Frontiersman staff and passersby call Alaska State Troopers and check passengers in the wake of a wreck involving a First Student School Bus and a dark gray minivan Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Columbus Way and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway about 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The bus, which was bound for the nearby Teeland schools contained no student passengers. No injuries were reported in the immediate wake of the wreck. No injuries were reported when a school bus bound for Teeland Middle School collided with a minivan on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway on Thursday afternoon.

The accident took place directly in front of the Frontiersman building on the busy main road between Palmer and Wasilla. The minivan ended up in the ditch and was later towed from the scene while the bus was able to drive away.

The accident is at least the second involving a school bus in the Mat-Su since school began on August 17.
