No to a Democratic Senate

The Democratic Party is providing millions of dollars to fund Alan Gross’s campaign and if he is elected, it will have a huge affect on Alaska’s oil and gas drilling and coal mining. What they want to control is the senate at any cost which is why they have made this the most expensive senate race in Alaska history. A vote for Gross would mean a ban on all oil and gas drilling which Biden and Kamala Harris have both said they would do. Kamala Harris also said she would ban all fracking the first week in office if elected. Ms. Harris is the original Senate co- sponsor of the Green New Deal, that would abolish coal, oil, natural gas, and gas powered cars. And to quote Mr. Biden “I guarantee, I guarantee, that we will abolish fossil fuels.”

The Senate Democrats, led by Kamala Harris, convinced five of the six largest U.S. banks— Citigroup Inc., Goldman Sachs Group, JP-Morgan Chase & Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo to end funding in 2021 for drilling and exploration projects in the Arctic. Senator Sullivan is leading the charge to keep this from happening. With a Democratic controlled senate, Alaska would lose up to 70% of the budget which comes from resource development. Can this happen? Absolutely. It will, if you vote for Gross, because the Democratic Party is funding his campaign with millions of dollars for that reason.

Mr. Gross is not an independent as former Governor Knowles said. He has taken millions of dollars from a pac called the Lincoln Project which is funded by the Democratic Party to get elected. Gross would follow the party line to tear down the wall between Mexico and the U.S. which Harris has vowed to do, allowing millions of immigrants to cross into our country and receive free medical care and housing. In the middle of a covid19 epidemic, this would create thousands of new cases and deaths to the American people.

I don’t hear anything from Mr. Gross about what he’s going to do for for Alaskan jobs. Changing health care and being a fisherman is not going to pay my rent or feed my family. Senator Sullivan has brought billions of dollars in military spending and infrastructure jobs to Alaska. The Presidents approval for a railroad through Canada and to the lower 48 is an example of the work Senator Sullivan has been working on for over a year to bring thousands of jobs to our state.

This will be the most important election in Alaska’s history. My only hope is that we don’t suffer a breakdown like we experienced in the eighties with thousands of people losing their homes and jobs. This election will affect everyone like schoolteachers when Colony middle and high school were mothballed for 3 years in the eighties. Alaska will be the hardest hit with a Democratic Senate because we have nothing but resources to sustain our economy. An anti- fossil fuel administration will affect education, labor, nonprofits and corporations.Your vote will determine your children’s and our future.
