Noise Advisory issued as increased air traffic expected at JBER through August

It’s summertime in Alaska, and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is training extra hard through August, meaning residents near the base can expect increased aircraft noise and traffic as multiple exercises commence.

Upcoming and ongoing exercises Resolute Force Pacific, RED FLAG-Alaska 25-3, Arctic Edge and Northern Edge will create more noise for surrounding communities and the Joint Pacific-Alaska Range Complex.

Please use caution while driving on base due to increased pedestrian traffic of civilian and military personnel. Residents can also expect traffic delays and unexpected gate closures. For the most up-to-date information, download the JBER Connect app or follow us on Facebook at @JBERAK.

The Air Force invests in its readiness and training to meet national security challenges by producing a force that can effectively work alongside allies and partners, rapidly deploy, and ensure sustained logistics in contested operational environments.

Members of the community with questions or comments about JBER activities or this noise advisory should visit www.jber.jb.mil/Contact-Us/and click Public Affairs.
