WASILLA — The University of Alaska Foundation Board of Directors is currently taking nominations for the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence.

According to a recent press release, the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize is presented to an individual who "demonstrates excellence in support of the University of Alaska" and worth $20,000.

Any UA student, faculty, staff, alumni or volunteer who has made a substantial contribution to the mission of the University of Alaska system at any of the campuses across the state is eligible for the award.

The Bullock Prize was created thanks to the late Edith R. Bullock, who exhibited 30 years of service to the UA system that included work on the UA Board of Regents and the UA Foundation Board of Directors. 35 individuals have received the award since 1990.

Anyone who knows of a deserving candidate can nominate them.

The deadline to submit complete nomination packets, including application, resume or curriculum vitae and letters of reference is Feb. 1, 2024. Applications are accepted online.
