North Star driver thunders up points totals

WASILLA — Keith Jones used a win in the thunder stocks class to top the 1,200-point mark for the season during racing action at North Star Speedway last Saturday.

Jones hit the finish line before Artie Neimi and Jim Langland to win the fetured race. Neimi and Langland eclipsed the 1,000-point mark with their second and third-place finishes.

Mike Thomas remains the top driver of the season in the legends class with another win on Saturday.

Alex Schwochert (mini stocks), Demi McDonald (bandoleros), Larry Theobald (baby grands) and Dana Pruhs (late models) also won feature races.

WILLOW — Tandi Fox was among the winners at Capitol Speedway in Willow last weekend.

Fox finished ahead of second-place Jason Doyal and third-place Jaryd Riggs to win the hobby stock class.

Fred Lloyd won the in mini-stocks, James Ross was first in the truck class and Ralph Gobert was the top driver in the truck class.

Racing at Capitol continues next weekend. The list of races includes the Duane Baker 75-lap mini-stock event.
