MEMORIAL DAY EVENTS

Walk with veterans

• American Veterans Post 9 and Valley veterans organizations welcome veterans, families and patriots to the Valley Veterans Walk to the cemetery. Participants should meet at the Wasilla Post Office at 10:15 a.m. and the walk will start at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Memorial Day.

At the Wall

• Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9365 is hosting this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony, which will begin at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Wall of Honor at the Mat-Su Visitor Center. Following the ceremony, veterans groups will hold open houses.
