Dana Barnett, 24, died Oct. 25, 2006, at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.
A service was Oct. 30, 2006, at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel.
He was born Feb. 9, 1982, in Houston, Texas.
He began his Alaska residency in 1998, living in Wasilla, until he moved to Anchorage in 2005.
He worked in mill work, construction, cooking and baking.
His family wrote, “Dana was a caring, wonderful father to his young children and will be missed by all of us.
“Dana enjoyed fishing, clamming in Soldotna and was very active in outdoor fun activities of winter and
summer.
“All with his children.”
He is survived by his sons, Vincent and Zachary; daughter, Jade; brother, Damon Barnett of Madison, Wis.; father, Robert Barnett of Anchorage; friend, Diane Barnett; mother, Patricia Richards of Madison; grandparents, Gerald and Lona Webb of Cleveland, Texas; uncle, Raymond Wheeler of Springfield, Ill.; uncles, William Fuson and Richard Fuson of Houston, Texas; nine cousins; great-uncle and aunt Bethel and Linda Barnett of West Virginia; great-uncle and aunt CA and Sheila Barnett of Illinois; great-uncle and aunt Bill and Glenda Barnett; and great-uncle and aunt James and Connie.
Arrangements are with Kehl's Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Swanson
Longtime Alaskan Margaret O. Swanson, 85, died Nov. 3, 2006, at Michael's Assisted Living in Palmer.
A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Evergreen's Eagle River Funeral Home, 11046 Chugiak Drive.
She was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Botrell, Alberta, Canada, and moved to Alaska at the age of 20.
She was one of the first residents in Chugiak, where she lived most of her life.
She also had been a resident of Wasilla and Anchorage, and moved to Palmer in 2005.
She was a member of Chugiak Senior Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha Pederson of Iowa and Hollie Swanson of Anchorage; son, Donald Swanson of Anchorage; sisters, Lois Knowles of Washington and Mary Clawson of California; brother, John Boucher of Washington; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Swanson; son, Stephen Swanson; son-in-law, Pete Pederson; brother, Tom Boucher; and sister, Carolyn King.
Arrangements were made with Evergreen's Eagle River Funeral Home.
