Nugen’s Ranch moves to Point MacKenzie

After 30 years helping those with alcohol and drug addictions in Wasilla, Nugen’s Ranch is moving to its new facility at Point MacKenzie. The public is invited to celebrate with free food, refreshments and cake at a grand opening celebration from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday at 26731 W. Point MacKenzie Road.

Due to the growing community in Wasilla and recent road expansion project, Nugen’s Ranch recently made the decision to move its long-term treatment facility 22 miles. The land at Point MacKenzie was purchased in 2002, allowing for future farming operations to continue in an urban area of the Mat-Su Valley conducive to recovery.

Tickets are on sale at Nugen’s Ranch for a chance to win a 1929 Mercedes Gazelle kit car, to be raffled at the event. Tickets are $10 each and will help fund the new facility.
