Hollie Rae Barnes

Hollie Rae Barnes, 47, died Sept. 30, 2006, at her residence in Palmer. A service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home in Palmer, 2020 N. Hemmer Road, Palmer.

Mrs. Barnes was born on Sept. 11, 1959, in Renton, Wash. She moved to Alaska in 1984 and has previously lived in Anchorage and Wasilla but spent the last part of her life in Palmer.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by her spouse, Dennis Barnes of Palmer; daughter, Rachel Barnes of Palmer; parents, Alan and Karen Crosswhite of Anchorage; siblings, Linda, Connie, Jim and James; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marian Omtvedt and grandfather, Robert Omtvedt.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.

Anice Williams

Longtime Valley resident Anice Williams died on Sept. 15, 2006, at her residence in Wasilla.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at 3 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 7010 E. Bogard Road. in Palmer. For directions call 745-6701.

Mrs. Williams was born on Jan. 1, 1947, and she has a twin sister born five minutes before her.

She moved to Alaska in 1982 with her husband, Art Williams Sr., and her two children.

Anice was a very trusting and giving person. She had one of the biggest hearts anyone could ever have. If someone were in need, she'd help however she could.

Her family wrote, &#8220Mrs. Williams enjoyed fishing, camping, and family get together. She had a special love for dogs; she referred to them as her kids.

&#8220Anyone that knew her knew how much she loved her dogs; they were part of her family. Anice was a happy, loving woman.

&#8220She was known as Anna to her grandchildren, all of which she loved very much, and they her. She will remain in all of our hearts, and will be missed by all who loved her.

&#8220She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and that's how she'll be remembered.”

Mrs. Williams is survived by her siblings, Marie, Yvonne, Edward, Arthur, Francis, Jeanette, Annette (her twin), Emily, Bobbie, Linda, Betty, Wendy, Karen, Sharon, Flo and Marianne; her son, Larry Eaker and his wife, Tammy; her daughter, Chrissy Hunter and husband Neil; five grandchildren, Stephanie Bauer, Brandon Bauer, Melanie Hunter, Josh and Alisha Eaker and a great grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
