Devon Jordan Larson

Devon Jordan Larson, 6 weeks, died Oct. 25, 2006, in Wasilla due to heart problems. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at 5 p.m. with a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the Valley Funeral Home in Palmer, 2020 N. Hemmer Road. Rick VanTassel will officiate at the service.

Devon was born on Sept. 11, 2006, in Seattle. Some of his hobbies included staring at his mobile, hanging out with mom and dad, smiling and making noises.

His parents stated, &#8220Devon was the strongest person we've ever known. He woke up every day with a smile that illuminated the room. The expressions on his face made us laugh all the time. He touched every person's life that he met, and many people's lives that he didn't get to meet. His strength to make it through open-heart surgery made us proud and gave us hope and courage. We would like to ask that instead of spending money on flowers, make a small donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle, or Children's Hospital in Seattle to give other babies and children a chance at life.”

Devon is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Marden of Palmer; father, Dyllan Larson of Palmer; grandmother, Dee Marden of Palmer; grandfather, Frank Marden of Palmer; grandmother, Megan Hardenburg of Palmer; grandfather, Robert Larson of Palmer; great grandparents, great-great-grandmother, two aunts, four uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles.

Memorial donations can be made to 12251 Soapstone Rd. Palmer, AK 99645.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Palmer.
