Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Willow resident Olive Louise Bibeau, 73, died at Valley Assisted Living Center in Palmer on Sept. 15, 2004, after a long battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, at Talkeetna Cemetery, with Pastor Dennis Herkstroeter officiating.
Ms. Bibeau was born Oct. 29, 1931, in Atlin, British Columbia, where she was raised and attended high school. She moved to Anchorage in 1952, where she loved and cared for her family. She later moved to Willow, where she made her home for approximately the last 20 years. She enjoyed knitting as a hobby.
Her family said, "She was loved and will be missed by many."
She is survived by her son, L. E. Wheatley; daughter, Margaret Murphy; grandchildren, Tiffany Love and Leotie and Taylor Wheatley; brothers, Art and Bob Smith and sisters, Rita Bowers and Senna Hunter.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
