Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

It was an 11-hour grilling. A grueling session of endless questions and answers. At one end was the Benghazi Select Committee at the other end sat Hilary Clinton the prime focus of the committee and coincidentally a candidate for President of the United States. The results? Nothing but egg on the collective faces of the committee as Hilary Clinton walked out of the chamber smelling like roses.
This was multi-million dollar boondogle funded by tax payers and pushed by a Republican party obsessed with anybody named Clinton. It was noted by observers in the media as not a search for facts and solutions to an attack that took the lives of four Americans in brutal fashion. Those were worked out and implemented after the first two investigations following the attack. No, it was clearly a witch hunt. A witch hunt that backfired that left Trey Gowdy and his Republican cronies flabbergasted and powerless.
This was the eighth attempt at beating a dead horse. Now it is hamburger rotting under the sun. Satisfied fellas? Knowing the new Republicans as for who they truly are I would say no. When it comes to Clinton or Obama they are obsessed to point of collective insanity. And it is showing the American public just who they really are: self serving, power hungry buffoons on a grand scale. Enough is enough time to put down the stick and grow up.
They can pat themselves on the back for one thing. They helped Hilary Clinton’s campaign immensely . The baggage I noted in an article about the candidates earlier this year, preventing her (in my opinion) from being elected to office has been reduced by half. Her chances of being the next president have gone up thanks to this fiasco.
This obsession with anything Clinton by the Republicans is pathetic. Trying to burn her by any means is proof positive that they have a huge problem with themselves. It has bled off into the presidential campaign. Every Republican candidate wanted her blood and said so publicly. Clearly she is a threat to them. Now you are going to have to beat her the old fashioned way. By winning the election. But with the current group of clowns lined up for that task, all I can say is good luck.
I’m not a fan of Hilary Clinton but I do have a grudging respect for her. That is one tough woman with a cast iron hide. She proved that in that 11-hour congressional session. She answered every question calmly and honestly. There was no gotcha moment, no lies or misleading statements from her. If she did they would have jumped on it like white on rice. They were drooling the chance. That chance never came and never will.
This witch hunt needs to end. It serves no purpose, it will not bring back the dead. It will not help the living and those serving overseas in our embassies in the world today. The mistakes made that horrible day have been addressed and measures were taken. And there were mistakes, huge ones. Lives were lost and responsibility for them was taken publicly during the first of these eight congressional investigations by then Secretary of State Hilary Clinton in 2012.
In 2015 she did so again. I think it is safe to say we need to move on. The disaster that was the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya has been resolved. It was resolved years ago. There are some who will never believe this. Those with this obsession go beyond logic or reason. Sadly many of them are in positions of great power and have cost the American taxpayer $4.5 million in this latest of witch hunts. That means you and I have been ripped off paying for another needless, useless “investigation” by those politicians blinkered by this obsession. Eight is enough, it’s past time to bury what’s left of that dead horse. The stench is appalling.
