WASILLA — A brief chase Thursday afternoon ended with at least one person dead, authorities said.

Authorities haven’t identified the victim or notified next of kin, according to trooper reports.

Alaska State Troopers say they responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked at a construction site about 2:45 p.m., Sept. 18. Troopers identified the car as stolen, and also as one that had been involved in a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately report earlier in the day, according to the reports.

When troopers attempted to contact the vehicle, it did not stop, crashing near the intersection of Spruce Avenue and Church Road, troopers said.
