One man is dead and another is in custody following a shooting in Willow Monday night.
Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a shooting at about 9:15 p.m. Monday. John Sibole, 49, of Willow, died at the scene, according to an online dispatch published by AST. Jared Higgins, 31, also of Willow, was arrested following an investigation, troopers said, and has been charged with second-degree murder and three counts of third-degree assault.
Higgins is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
