Oren Frederick Foley, 63 of Palmer, AK gained his victory on Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Oren was born June 28, 1960 in Vancouver, Washington to Bruce and Edna (Cunningham) Foley. He grew up working in the masonry trade with his father and brothers. On February 14, 1981 he married his wife of 43 years, Sharon Lisa Wicht of Clayton, Delaware. They moved to Alaska in October of 1981 where he went to work in the sheet metal trade as well as working as a mechanic from his home until he passed. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Oren held his Christianity with the utmost importance. His greatest passions were spending time with and helping family and friends. Oren is survived by his wife Sharon, two sons; Jared (Erin), Tyler (Jennie), one daughter; Amanda (Wayne) Daniels and 12 grandchildren all of Palmer, Alaska. He is also survived by two brothers; Leroy of Watkins, MN and Brent (Edythe) of Davenport, WA, four sisters; Yvonne (Dennis) Kangas of Davenport, WA, Cherie (Peder) Pedersen of Reardan, WA, Rosalie (Jon) Deel, and Arlene (Matt) Deel both of Palmer, AK and many dear Christian friends. Oren was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Wayne, and one sister Renee Bender
A service will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 9405 E Terry St, Palmer, Alaska. Followed by a graveside service at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.
