Wasilla resident Osamay "Toni" Sariva passed away peacefully at Ruthie's Place in Wasilla, Feb. 9, 2004.

A celebration of her life will be at the First United Methodist Church, Mile 4 Knik-Goose Bay Road, Sunday. at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Mark Conrad will officiate.

Mrs. Sariva was born in Clinton, Okla., April 16, 1916. She grew up in Eric, Okla., with her family of seven brothers and two sisters. She graduated high school in Eric. Later, she made her home in California. She lived in Placerville and then resided in Sacramento until September of 1998, when she came to Alaska to live with her daughter Judy and son-in-law Jeff.

Mrs. Sariva worked for Bel Air Bakery in Sacramento for many years before retiring in 1970. She spent her retirement going to Donner Lake, spending time with her family, crocheting and having fun. She also donated some of her time helping at a local church thrift shop in Sacramento for several years.

Her family wrote, "Toni had a great sense of humor, a wonderful smile, and will be loved and missed by all who knew her."

Her husband Joe, daughter Evie, and grandson Richard, preceded Mrs. Sariva in death.

Her son Richard and daughter-in-law Debbie from Missoula, Mont., and her daughters, Beverly of Sacramento, Calif., and Judy and her husband Jeff of Wasilla, survive her. Mrs. Sariva has 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the favorite charity of one's choice.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
