PALMER — Palmer Junior Middle School had over 75 spellers in the all school spelling bee this year.

"There were spellers from all three grade levels participating again this year,” PJMS teacher Linda Jo Klapperich said.

Klapperich has organized the All School spelling bee for over 15 years. Her daughter, Angelina Klapperich enthusiastically aids her mother with this beloved school tradition every year.

“It gives them a great opportunity,” Klapperich told the Frontiersman. “I started the tradition for all ability levels to participate. That’s a huge thing for me. The kids need to be involved in activities.”

6th grade top spellers: Kaylie Madres, Delaney Davis; 7th grade top spellers: Breckin Goff, Bentley Hayward, Xander Kanayurak, Cassidy Levis, Briaana Peters; Overall top spellers: Camile Folger, 1st place; Shelby Thornson, 1st runner up; Kenedie Christiansen, 2nd runner up.
