Overdue hunter found under ATV

A 59-year Palmer man was killed as a result of a single ATV accident Monday afternoon.

Alaska State Troopers investigated a report that Michael D. Anderson was overdue from a hunting trip. He was located near mile 6.5 on Palmer Fishhook Road around 1:50 p.m. Troopers stated Anderson’s ATV flipped while he was traversing a creek.

He was found pinned under the ATV. Police say no foul play is suspected and next of kin was notified.
