Override the vetoes

I am a super-voter and I have felt my voice is not heard by my elected officials, Mike Shower and George Rauscher, so I send this request to all elected officials.

Please, please vote to restore the Governor’s budget cuts. You have all the arguments – I ask you to do the responsible thing and vote to override the vetoes.

This chaos caused by the Governor’s budget cuts comes at Alaskan’s busiest time and many of us are busy working during the tourist season and don’t have time to testify, but I assure you I and many of my constituents are dismayed by the lack of leadership and lack of thought that went into these drastic cuts.

The Legislature already worked hard to cut the budget during the legislative session and they agreed on this budget sent to the Governor. He acted inappropriately with his vetoes and I ask you to restore these items to the budget. I happily accept a smaller PFD, but ask you to restore the budget for the good of the whole state of Alaska.

Thank you for doing the right thing for Alaska.
