I cannot believe that Rep. Mark Neuman and Sen. Charlie Huggins thought it was OK to take thousands in per diem pay while commuting to work in Anchorage. More than 10,000 people do this commute daily and they do not get extra thousands of dollars to do so!
In a time where we are asking kids, seniors, and state employees to take a cut, these two Valley legislators placed their own financial interests first.
Shame on both of you.
