Pair of candidate forums scheduled

MAT-SU — Two candidate forums have been announced.

The first features Mat-Su Borough Assembly candidates, and local House and Senate candidates are invited to a September forum.

First up is the Mat-Su Convention and Visitors Bureau’s annual Mat-Su Borough Assembly candidate forum at noon, Sept. 12 at Evangelo’s Restaurant. Steve Colligan (District 4 candidate) and Bill Kendig and Dan Mayfield (District 5 candidates) will speak and take questions.

The second forum is sponsored by AARP from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 1 at Mat-Su Senior Services in Palmer.

This event will feature candidate for House Seats 11 and 12 and Senate Seat F.

The local election is Oct. 7 and the General Election is Nov. 4.
