Kaden Schachle scored a pair of unanswered goals to help Wasilla grab a 3-2 victory over rival Palmer 3-2 at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena Tuesday night.
Schachle netted the game-winner with 6:59 left in regulation. The forward tied the game at 2, scoring at the 5:53 mark of the second.
Simon Giani recorded an assist on both Schachle goals, and also scored midway through the first for the Warriors. Kaleb Rehak added a pair of assists.
Peyton Neuman and Liam Hilscher scored for Palmer. The Moose held leads of 1-0 and 2-1.
Palmer outshot Wasilla 26-23. Carson Branholm made 24 saves for Wasilla in the win. Palmer’s Kai Curl stopped 20 shots.
In other action, Houston beat Colony 4-2. Andrey Efimov scored twice for the Hawks. Daniel Matveev and John Natekin added goals.
