Sarah Palin gave her farewell speech to some 5,000 people who gathered together, many of them with a long sigh of relief, and said, “I’m leaving because I love Alaska this much; that I feel it is my duty to avoid unproductive, typical, politics as usual.”
Please.
She excoriated the media she romanced passionately, saying that they had treated her and her family unfairly, although she invited reporters and photographers into her kitchen where she cooked moose meat and her husband stood by holding the little baby they have used to get sympathy and votes.
She said she hoped reporters would “leave Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell’s kids alone,” and they probably will because Parnell isn’t going to shove his children into the spotlight for purely selfish reasons.
Palin is a coward. She dropped the job she was elected to do in someone else’s lap and took a hike. Palin’s is a dishonorable departure. But what does she know of honor?
