Palin supports troops

To the editor:

Watching the news last week, I saw Gov. Sarah Palin meet with U.S. military forces twice. Obviously the governor listened to what those troops said to her, based on a Twitter post from June 28. She noted that it was “unacceptable” to hear that National Guard troops were paying for their own flights home. I couldn’t agree more. I live in San Diego, a city that happens to have one of the largest military populations in the country. I have heard time and time again about our troops paying for their own equipment, medical care, and yes, trips home to see their families. I’m happy to see someone of Gov. Palin’s stature taking a stand and trying to “work with the DoD” to correct this situation.
