PALMER — The Palmer Moose scored three times during the first 20 minutes and posted a 3-0 win over Grace Christian at Machetanz Field on Saturday.
Krysta Thiesen, Tess Anderson and Kendal Venzke each scored for the Moose, who secured the Northern Lights Conference North Division’s third seed with the win.
Chelsea Riley earned the shutout for PHS.
Although Palmer did all of its scoring during the first 20 minutes of play, PHS head coach Brian Fish felt his team continued to have good chances throughout the match.
“We had good opportunities,” Fish said. “And the defense held strong, and Chelsea made some good saves to secure the shutout.
On Friday, Anderson notched a hat trick to lead Palmer to a 5-1 win over Seward. Thiesen scored for PHS and Katrina Pilch recorded for first goal of the season.
The third-seeded Moose will now prepare for the NLC championships, which start Thursday at Palmer High School.

PALMER — Grace Christian scored three unanswered goals to record a 3-1 win over Palmer at Palmer High School on Saturday.
Donovan Hard gave the Moose the 1-0 lead within the first five minutes of play, but Palmer couldn’t hit the back of the net again in the match.
With the loss, Palmer inherits the NLC North Division’s fourth seed in the conference championships, which begin Thursday at Palmer High.
