PALMER -- The Palmer Moose girls' soccer team is finding its offense. A night after exploding for six goals in a 6-4 win over Kenai, the Moose blanked the Soldotna Stars 2-0 at Palmer High School on Friday.
Felicia Sandvick and Joann Spannagel each scored first-half goals for the Moose in the win. Sandvick converted a penalty kick and Spannagel butted in a header for the Moose.
Palmer head coach Brian Fish said, while the Moose still need to convert some of their opportunities, he is pleased with the play of his team on the offensive end.
"The nice thing is we are getting opportunities," Fish said.
Sandvick and Spannagel also struck big for the Moose in the win over the Kardinals. Sandvick, who scored 23 goals last season, notched the hat trick in the win. Sandvick has already scored 10 goals this year for the 3-1-0 Moose.
Spannagel also scored two goals against Kenai.
The Moose rounded out the weekend with a 7-2 win over Skyview.
