Colony's 17-7 third quarter advantage was the difference as the Knights moved to within one game of a perfect Northern Lights Conference season with a 69-59 win over Palmer. Eight players scored at least six points for Colony, Alaska's top-rated team according to the WPI ratings used to seed teams at the state tournament.
Colony withstood a barrage of 10 three-point field goals by the Moose, including seven from T.J. Fullmer, who finished with a game-high 23 points. Bryce Jacobson scored 11 points for Palmer, Justin Draughon had 10, Jake Hillis had nine and Shaq Odom finished with six.
Antone Zagars led a balanced Colony attack with 15 points. Jaron Murphy was the only other Colony player in double figures with 11, but the Knights got solid contributions up and down the lineup. John Palmer had nine points, Grant Niver and Matt Stearman each scored eight; and Doug Gray, Josh Moseley and Cody Huggins had half a dozen each.

Brian Mason led the Hawks with 13 points, but Lathrop outscored the Hawks 21-14 in the fourth quarter to pull out the Mid-Alaska Conference win in Houston Friday night. Scott Herman has 11 points for Houston, Ben Castleberry had seven, Zack Qual had six, Jon Tymick and Ryan Contreras scored four apiece, Thompson had two and James Steed added one.

Palmer rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to spoil senior night for the Knights, which dropped only their second NLC game this season.
Senior Geneva Ratcliff led all scorers with 18 points for the Moose, which made six of seven free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Palmer got solid play down low from both Ratcliff and Ashley Swetzof, who had ten points and pulled down 15 rebounds.
Colony front court players were also solid underneath, with forwards Alex Coon (15 points) and Kara Larson (10 points) leading the way. The Knights also got eight points from Allie Grazulis, seven from Tara Garrod and three from Maria Bowker.
Jamie Cox finished with nine points for Palmer, sister Matti Cox had six, Mikaela Bolling added four and Kelsey Campbell had one. Bolling and Swetzof were both perfect from the free-throw line in the final eight minutes of the game.
