Palmer has a lot going for it

To the editor:

This is an appreciation letter to the Frontiersman — your wonderful local coverage, especially the local people you feature — our heroes among us.

To the Palmer Rotary for the flags you fly in downtown Palmer for our special holidays.

To the Palmer Lions who will feed 85 athletes and their support staff for the wheelchair race July 26.

To the many volunteers who come out when one of our own has needs, for example, a fundraiser Connor Daugharty on July 25.

To the Valley Recycling Center for saving our landfill and saving our planet.

To the city of Palmer who helps the downtown merchants make lemonade out of a lemon of water leaks.

Last but not least, the citizens of Palmer who make Palmer who make up Palmer Pride. We celebrate this at our town picnic July 24 in downtown Palmer and to the city’s merchants, vendors and Alaska Grown farmers who make this happen.

Thanks.

Let’s all have an attitude of gratitude. We are all blessed.
