Palmer High School honored the 1995 Moose football state championship football team during its home game against Chugiak Friday night. This season marks the 30th anniversary of the football state title, Palmer's first in school history. The Moose beat Chugiak 12-7 to win the championship, and finish the year undefeated. Members of the 1995 team attended the game, and were recognized during the pregame coin toss and halftime. The group included Jason Kepler, Jack Wade, Rodney Bettis, Corey Hughes, Phil Licht, CW Payne, Brandon Buckley and Jim Williams. Kepler flipped the coin during the coin toss.
