PALMER — The Mat-Su Borough School District has reported two more schools that have identified positive cases of COVID-19 and are undergoing contact tracing procedures. Meadow Lakes Elementary identified one positive case Sept. 12. School opened on Monday for Meadow Lakes Elementary students after cleaning procedures and contact tracing. On Monday night, Palmer High School announced a building closure due to a positive case.
“Public health is doing their process of contact tracing and that’s why we’ve closed for tomorrow, and that includes all after school activities for tomorrow and we’ll update families tomorrow,” said MSBSD Public Information Officer Jillian Morrissey.
A total of six schools within MSBSD have identified positive cases within school buildings.
