WASILLA — In the last three games, Blake Brazil has a hat trick worth of hat tricks.
The Palmer junior forward notched the hat trick for the third straight game to lead the Moose to an 8-1 nonconference win over the Houston Hawks Tuesday at the Curtis C. Menard II Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.
Brazil’s efforts came as Palmer scored seven answered goals in the game to erase an early 1-0 Houston lead. Forward Cody Lipse scored less than three minutes into play to give Houston the early advantage, Palmer scored five times during the final 9:30 of the first period. The Moose outshot Houston 28-8 in the first.
Defenseman Thomas Morino and Jack Reeves added a pair of goals each for Palmer. Trey Garrod also scored for the Moose.
Ashton Good made 28 saves in the Moose win. Aaron Allred stopped 53 Palmer shots in the loss.
Palmer continues play against Wasilla tonight at 7 p.m. at the Menard Arena.
